Service Description

A unique six-week immersive journey through everyday scenarios where you'll learn to speak for real in a small group Italian enthusiasts at the welcoming Dome Café in Secret Harbour (meeting room upstairs). When: Saturday 8 February - 22 March 2025 (No class on 8 March) Time: 9:00 - 11:00 am (with 10' break half way through) Where: Dome Café, Secret Harbour Square shopping centre. (Free Parking). You will : • Learn and practice strategies to avoid getting lost in translation. • Learn and practice how to get the conversation going "using what you have available in your Italian brain" and build on it. • Learn and practice Italian pronunciation with a focus on vowel sounds. • Refine your ability to order food and beverages as, every week, you will have to say what you are getting, comment on it, and ask the other attendees. • Engage in multiple real-life roleplays such as Buying Groceries, Getting a gelato, Asking for and Giving Directions, Buying Clothes in Italian while practicing effective speaking and boosting your confidence. • Enhance your comprehension skills with listening activities featuring native speakers. • Be part of an exclusive WhatsApp Private Group. This is your safe space to practice speaking through voice messaging as you progress in the course. The group will be created on day 1 of the course and you will be shown how to use it. LEVEL- All levels blend in as you are all practicing conversation in the same scenarios (as it happens in real life). If you are a beginner, you will stick to the structures you will learn in the course. If you are more experienced, you will brush up on your skills and add new structures and vocabulary also through more complex conversation with teacher Sara. MATERIAL - Every week you will get handouts to guide you through our conversations. You will be emailed the material after each class. COFFEE: Please make sure you save your Saturday morning coffee for our class and that you order some coffee/food before we start.
