Ravioli and Italian Interactive Demo

Join a unique, Free Italian Speaking & Cooking Demo where you’ll unlock the secrets of the Italian cuisine and language. Join an experienced Italian Teacher (Sara) and a passionate Italian Chef (Franco) at the amazing Ocean Kitchen Garden on Sunday 9 March, 3:00 - 5:00 pm. You'll watch how to make delicious Ravioli pasta from scratch with a Spinach & Ricotta and a Pumpkin & Mild Goat Cheese filling while learning Italian phrases. A couple of volunteers will be chosen on the spot to have a go at making Ravioli! Then Chef Franco will cook it with butter and sage. A few tastings will be handed out at the end of the interactive demonstration. Plus, you will be able to take home the original recipes and the Italian notes (that will also be emailed to you). All cooking materials are provided. SAFETY: To be able to be chosen to have a go at making Ravioli, you will need to wear completely enclosed flat shoes and be able to pull your hair back to keep it from falling into food. TIME: Sunday the 9th of March (3:00 pm - 5:00pm) PLACE: Ocean Kitchen Garden Stage (Coogee Beach Reserve 4 Powell Road, Coogee, WA 6166) PARKING: There is parking at the North end of the site (Omeo wreck end) around Thames way and Napolean St, or in the underground at shopping centre, RECOMMENDED AGE: All ages are welcome to attend the demo. *To be able to have a go at making pasta, kids between 7 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult. LEVEL: Beginner-friendly. Also great for anyone who loves pasta and the Italian culture. INGREDIENTS: To make pasta, we use traditional ingredients to guarantee the best outcome (Eggs and Flour). Our fillings contain Spinach & Ricotta, and Mild Goat Cheese & Pumpkin. The Ravioli dish is cooked with Butter & Sage, and dressed with Extra virgin Olive Oil, Truffle paste, Salt & Pepper, and Parmigiano cheese. Questions? Please don't hesitate to contact Sara.
