Service Description

Join a unique, Free Italian Speaking & Cooking Demo where you’ll unlock the secrets of the Italian cuisine and language. Join an experienced Italian Teacher (Sara) and a passionate Italian Chef (Franco) at the amazing Ocean Kitchen Garden on Saturday 8 March, 4:30 - 6:30 pm. You'll watch how to make delicious Tagliatelle pasta from scratch while learning Italian phrases. A couple of volunteers will be chosen on the spot to have a go at making pasta! Then Chef Franco will cook it with a mouth-watering Ragù sauce. A few tastings of pasta will be handed out at the end of the interactive demonstration. Plus, you will be able to take home the original recipes and the Italian notes (that will also be emailed to you). All cooking materials are provided. SAFETY: To be able to be chosen to have a go at making pasta, you will need to wear completely enclosed flat shoes, and be able to pull your hair back to keep it from falling into food. TIME: Saturday the 8th of March (4:30 pm - 6:30pm) PLACE: Ocean Kitchen Garden Stage (Coogee Beach Reserve 4 Powell Road, Coogee, WA 6166) PARKING: There is parking at the North end of the site (Omeo wreck end) around Thames way and Napolean St, or in the underground at shopping centre, RECOMMENDED AGE: All ages are welcome to attend the demo. *To be able to have a go at making pasta, kids between 7 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult. ​LEVEL: Beginner-friendly. Also great for anyone who loves pasta and the Italian culture. INGREDIENTS: To make pasta, we use traditional ingredients to guarantee the best outcome (Eggs and Flour). Our sauce contains minced Beef, Passata, Onion, Carrot, Celery, Red wine, Salt, Pepper, Extra Virgin olive oil. The pasta dish is dressed with Parmigiano cheese. Questions?
